Begin your adventure with Poenari Fortress, once a stronghold of Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). We will not enter in to the fortress, we see it from exterior. We stop at the imposing Vidraru Dam, a marvel of engineering, where you can take in the stunning views of the reservoir and surrounding peaks. We cross the Făgăraș National Park where we have chances to meet wild brown bears in their natural habitat. 1. Observe many from the 123 brown bears of various ages hosted by the Sanctuary in Zarnesti (the biggest Bear Sanctuary in Europe). 2. Visit the famous Bran Castle which initially served as military defense fortification, then as customs point and ultimately as one of the summer residences of the Romanian royal family. It's a medieval castle with a royal touch, that's also linked to the Dracula legend. Besides touring the castle you also get free time for souvenirs in the bazaar at the footsteps of the landmark. 3. The Rasnov citadel was an important medieval fortification in Transylvania. It has a spectacular view of the Barsa Land. We'll visit the outside garden and the Rasnov letters on the hill! 4. Last but not least you can taste our traditional strong drink at a local Palinca distillery. Find out how plumbs, apricots, cherries, pears and other fruits are distilled and maturated! We return to Brasov in the afternoon!

Come join us for an unforgettable brown bear viewing adventure at the renowned at Pack Creek Bear Sanctuary. Your day kicks off with a breathtaking 25-minute floatplane flight to Pack Creek. Known as the "Fortress of the Bears," Admiralty Island holds the Tlingit name Kootznoowoo, and it lives up to its title with an impressive brown bear population of approximately 1,800. Upon arrival, you'll receive a warm welcome from the dedicated rangers of Pack Creek. Afterwards, you'll tread the same paths as the bears, exploring the shoreline and forest trails that lead to prime brown bear viewing spots. From the banks of Pack Creek, you'll have the incredible opportunity to observe bears in their natural habitat, whether they're engaged in salmon fishing or enjoying a nap in the tall grass. Brown bears are most active during mating season (late May – June) and annual salmon runs (late July – August). Kayaking is included in the tour from June 20th to July 20th due to limited bear activity.

Opened in 2005, the "Libearty" bear sanctuary is the largest animal welfare project in Europe, a corner of heaven for mistreated bears. The bears at the sanctuary have been rescued from a cruel and abusive life in captivity, with each bear having an impressive story. "Libearty" is currently home to over 130 bears, it is recognized as the most ethical sanctuary in the world, spread over 70 hectares of oak forest with trees where bears climb, with pools where bears swim , with adequate food according to veterinarians' diets.

BRAN CASTLE: Probably the biggest brand of Transylvania and one of the most haunted castle in the world. One of the most imposing historical monuments of Romania is in Bran-Rucar Pass. Bran Castle is located about 30 km away from the city of Braşov, on the road that goes through the old Bartolomeu neighborhood and connects Braşov to Campulung Muscel, the first capital of Wallachia, where the Piatra Craiului Mountains meet with the Bucegi Mountains. The mission of the sanctuary is to save the captive animals who lived in miserable conditions, offering them the necessary care, decent living conditions in a natural environment within an area of 69 hectares of forests, streams and pools. The “Libearty” Sanctuary does not receive any public funds! It is built and administered by the Millions of Friends Association, a non-governmental organization.
