This is reflected in the fact that, although the show normally lasts 60 minutes, it usually lasts somewhat madly, it depends on the atmosphere and the complicity between the audience and the artists. Flamenco is one of the most characteristic elements of Spanish culture, especially throughout the southern region of Andalusia. Flamenco was born for many in Triana, across the river from Seville, mainly in the mines and in the countryside where gypsies lived since the 15th century, sent there by the Holy Inquisition. Flamenco dance, as one third of the quintessential Spanish phenomenon of flamenco, has an extensive historical background that parallels the cultural development of Spain itself.
