Dog Sledding

Enjoy a truly Alaskan experience in the famous North Pole Alaska on a 30 minute dog sledding adventure. This ride includes informative commentary from your local guide as you glide through the snow covered forest.  You will be seated in the dog sled as the team of Alaskan Huskies whisk you down the trails. Your guide will be standing on the back of the sled driving the team by voice commands. You will have a short stop during your adventure to meet your team of Alaskan Huskies and take pictures. All outer layers of winter clothing are included.

Start in town or at your ship on this 4.5 hour adventure. Board our 15 to 25 passenger mini coach to explore the White Pass elevation 3292 feet all the way to the Yukon. With stops to get out and see amazing Waterfalls up to 3000 feet tall, Azure Glaciers, Alpine Valleys, Snow Capped Mountains and huge Mountain Lakes. Your Guide will tell you gold rush stories, lots of history, and information about the Plants and animals in this wild and beautiful land. This is your best chance for wild life viewing in Skagway. The Sled Dog Adventure takes place in a remote portion of Canada. Play with the puppies while learning what a mushers life is all about.  On this 20 minute ride you will be amazed by the dogs power, grace and love for running as you fly up and down through this alpine wilderness. Enjoy the experience of panning for REAL gold and the thrill of finding those little shiny gold pieces. This tour requires entering Canada so PASSPORTS are required!

In this 3 – 5 miles trails with Alaskan Huskies you will learn the history of the dog mushing and get an experience on how to help ride the sled with voice commands. – Free Pick up Service at a hotel in Fairbanks – Free Photo Service *** 2 tickets are required for Passengers over 250 pounds or 113 Kilograms *** – Dog Sledding Snow Seasons: From Nov. 1 To Apr. 20. – Dog Sledding with Cart or ATV: No Snow – Fall Dog Sledding Season: from August 1 to October 31 – Summer and Fall (It takes 10 to 15 min). This 6 hour tour that departs from Yukon Heath's Popcorn Emporium at 9a.m. This tour features stops at Capt Moore's Bridge and Tutshi. Next visit Caribou Crossing Iditarod Training Camp for approx 1 hour. This gives you time for lunch, the wildlife museum, petting farm and PUPPIES! The tour will also take you to Emerald Lake, The Yukon sign, the Welcome to Alaska sign, and there is a possibility of wildlife spotting including bears, sheep, caribou, elk, lynx, fox, eagles, and moose. You will get some great advice from our guide to help you have a wonderful experience as a musher (driver) and become one with nature. All our 84 friendly Alaskan huskies have names and different personalities. They love to run and receive cuddles. We travel over tundra and through forests and you will get in close contact with both nature and dogs. During daytime, you will get a beautiful view towards the Lyngen Alps, and during dark season you can experience the northern light dancing above us. Two people share each sled and we will stop along the way to change mushers and to take photos.
