This 4×4 tour takes you through the main valley of Wadi Rum's Protected Area, making stops at the important landmarks and panoramic viewpoints. You have time at each stop to explore on foot, scramble up the rocks, walk to viewpoints and take photographs. Some tour highlights include visiting Khazali Canyon to see ancient petroglyphs and inscriptions, and taking a self-guided walk through Abu Khashaba Canyon for 20-30 minutes. I’m a local Bedouin guide from wadi rum and I’d love to teach you about my tribe and culture. I’ve been able to do trips for celebrities who have worked in international films such as Dune 1 +2, Star Wars, Aladdin and the Martian. I love to brings guests to the filming locations so they can truly see the beauty of my home. We provide a guide who can vary the hikes depending on ability and who will provide traditional Bedouin lunch and tea to refresh you from the Desert heat in the shade of a mountain for a relaxing midday break.

We own the first Retreat Center in Jordan and are proud to offer yoga and meditation classes in a unique area of Wadi Rum. Before we explore the desert on a 4×4 tour with you guided by local Bedouins. This allows you to have the best experience because the locals know the area best. On the tour you can also drink real Bedouin tea with the Bedouins and sit around the fire. Learn where Lawrence of Arabia traveled in Wadi Rum and how Bedouin women used to bring their children into the world. There is also the option of staying overnight in our traditional Bedouin glamping camp. The tents are made of goatskin, just like the Bedouins. The Bedouins have been making their tents from this material for centuries, which makes them particularly sustainable. The tents are equipped with bed linen and towels, just like in a normal hotel – except that you spend the night in the middle of the desert: with solar energy. After introducing ourselves to the village of Wadi Rum, you will board the 4×4 towards the desert where we will drive you to the most splendid and wild places in the region. Cross canyons in pink and ocher hues, walk in the sand, climb rocky mountains, slide down a sand slope on a sandboard, stop to enjoy a steaming cup of tea heated over embers in the company of your guide Hachem, a young Bedouin man native to the region. His delicacy and know-how will make your experience memorable. At the end of your day, Hashem will take you to the bivouac where you will sit around a campfire to admire the sunset and then dine on a delicious meal prepared on site.
