Our tour begins in the Sobro (South of Broadway) neighborhood at Parlor Doughnuts, one of the newest editions to the area. Here we’ll try some of their amazing donuts, featured above. After that, we’ll take a leisurely walk through downtown, stopping along the way to talk about the major entertainment district along Broadway. We’ll then continue our way to two amazing donut shops in the Arts District. We’ll end our tour at Donut Distillery in the Assembly Food Hall, which has plenty of options for delicious donuts, as well as other amazing food and drinks. When you come on our Chocolate and Pastry tour in Paris, you will get to experience many different and unique types of French sweets and pastry specialties, guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth. Do you know the taste of a fresh butter baked Danish pastry? During this hands-on class, you will learn to bake Danish happiness (dansk hygge). A professional pastry chef with many years of experience will guide you through all the different baking techniques and tips including kneading, rolling and folding the dough with butter. We will make a selection of traditional and delicious Danish pastries (Wienerbrød). The course will have a break with coffee/tea where you can try some of your Danish pastries and exchange your cultural/baking experiences. You will make the dough from scratch, do the lamination, watch the rising of the croissants and bake them. In the intimacy of a traditional haussmannian Parisian apartment, you will become a real croissant connoisseur. You will taste delicious pastries and leave with all of your wonderful creations and instructions to repeat the recipe at home. You will also receive advice on your Parisian trip: what to do, where to shop and eat and more importantly, where to enjoy good pastries.

Our tour starts at a quintessentially Victoria donut shop, Empire Donuts, in the heart of downtown. Empire is known for its unique donuts in an intergalactic 50’s diner style shop. From there, we walk a short distance to a beloved coffee and donut spot in Victoria, passing some of the best restaurant locations (according to our guides!) along the way. Next, we will make our way down to Government Street, taking in the inner harbour which includes the Empress hotel and parliament buildings. As we weave our way back into downtown, we will eventually hit our third donut spot, a local ma and pop shop for delightful donuts. Finally, we will walk towards Chinatown and end at Friend and Family Bake in Fantan Alley. You’ll love their hot, fresh and tiny doughnuts as well as their super cute aesthetic. From here, we’ll make our way over to Queen street and our next doughnut shop, Bloomer’s. Along Queen street, you’ll find numerous shops and restaurants that you’ll want to add to your itinerary for later that day or the next time you’re in Toronto. After a quick bit of history around Bloomer’s and the surrounding neighborhood, we’ll sample some delicious donuts made fresh daily and then make our way through Alexandra Park, on our way to Kensington Market.
