Discover turtles in natural habitat with experienced friendly personnel Use our diving scooters to dive and enjoy the natural wonders of the sea snorkeling among the turtles( 5-7 scooters available shared between the group) We know the turtles by name and we see turtles as a family. Each turtle has unique character. Please note that the turtle watching trip is available starting in April. However, the most likely time to spot turtles is between May and November, when turtle activity is at its peak.

On this relaxing sightseeing tour we’ll start with a visit to Aphrodite’s Rock, the fabled birthplace of the Greek goddess of beauty. Our path then takes us to the Kourion archaeological site. Visit the Roman baths and amble through the site’s centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre where concerts are still being held to this day. We begin our day with a stop at a pottery workshop in Yeroskipou village, where we will see how the potters continue the traditional craft and if you are lucky you might even try your hand at the wheel. Our next stop is at the village square where we will see the unique 5-domed church of St Paraskevi. We will also have a chance to see how the ‘loukoumia’ (Turkish delights) are made. Our next stop is Letymbou village , where we will visit Sophia’s traditional house – original furniture and décor as well as traditional costumes. You will learn how she bakes village bread in the clay oven and makes other local delicacies such as the traditional halloumi cheese. Afterwards we will have a brunch –a special Cypriot breakfast, prepared by Sophia with village style bread and coffee or tea. Next, Saint Neophytos monastery, the “Enkleistra”, an enclosure which was carved out of the mountain in the 12th century by the hermit Neophytos and contains some of the finest Byzantine frescoes.

This is a workshop which brings together history, ecology, craft and science, suitable for a wide range of ages (including children 5 year and older). You will get to learn interesting facts, identify some local plants and learn about their historical use. Finally you will get to use your hands to create your own work of art- a naturally dyed silk hankie.

Once in the water, you will practice several basic scuba skills with your Instructor in shallow water (shallow enough for you to be able to stand up if needed) then go on a dive in the crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon to a maximum depth of 6 meters. After the trip, there will be a short debrief with your Instructor who will give you a certificate for completing the Discover Scuba Diving Experience and answer any questions you may have about scuba diving.
