Canyoning half day – Heart Creek Canyon (beginner level)


Looking to try Canyoning for the first time? Then this is the trip for you! An easy approach, an ideal location to learn rappelling, and amazing scenery all make this trip the perfect choice for your first canyoning trip. Heart Creek Canyon is also our closest trip to the townsites of Banff & Canmore (10 minute drive from Canmore, 30 min drive from Banff). Upper Heart Canyon provides a perfect location to learn and develop your rope rappelling skills. Introductory short rappels allow you to ease into rappelling and increase in length as you progress down the canyon, finally culminating with an exciting 70-80ft+ wet waterfall rappel and slide (optional: it is possible to hike around the lower falls).

Feel free to leave the worries at home. This trip has just enough splash to remind you that you’re on a river but leaves out the intensity of the Shoshone rapids. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to kick-back and take in all that Glenwood Canyon has to offer. Hop out and do some swimming or even dip your toes in the hot springs that make their way into the Colorado River as you approach Glenwood Springs.

Not for the faint of heart, this is one of the most technical and continuous sections of whitewater in the nation. Sections of this run plummet at a rate of over 100 feet per mile. Teamwork and the ability to follow instructions are key to success on this run. Guides will instruct guests how to follow on-water commands and how to stay safe in adverse situations. Swimming skills, although they may not be used, are a must when traveling on this section of Clear Creek.

Slot Canyon 2hr tour at Willis Creek


Rejuvenate your soul. This tour is for small group people. Those that want to find peace from the business of the National Parks. On this tour, you will see the amazing backdrop of the Grand Staircase National monument as you drive to see two slot canyons. One with a smashed truck and a 200-foot drop and one with amazing turns and water features. We will explore deeper into Willis Creek. We will explore as much as our 2 hours will permit. Wills Creek has a small creek running through it all year. It begins with beautiful waterfall features and continues to wind and twist with spectacular views. On this tour, we will walk approximately 1 1/2 mile through some rocky terrain.


Johnston Canyon Evening Tour


Escape the crowds and explore Johnston Canyon in our Evening Canyon Walk. Starting at the canyon’s base, you will be accompanied by your expert guide on a trail that winds through the canyon offering breathtaking views of waterfalls and the pristine turquoise waters from the creek below. The Lower Falls are the first stop, where you can stand in awe as the waterfall cascades through a narrow rock corridor. The mist and the roar of the water make this a truly immersive experience. Then, you may continue up the trail on a self-guided hike to the Upper Falls, where the canyon widens and the waterfall becomes even more impressive, dropping over 30m (90ft). The upper falls offer an excellent viewpoint, allowing you to soak in the surrounding natural beauty of Johnston Canyon.
