This guided day hike brings you closer or into the heart of most beautiful mountains of the area On each mountain there are a few available hiking routes for all levels from easy, medium to difficult hikes. Consider a min. of 4-5h for a day hike extendable to 8-10h choosing private departure on a longer route. Prior to departure, the guide will talk with you about every option and will make appropriate decision for the route to follow Piatra Craiului National Park – the host of our guaranteed departure day hike. Route starts near Zarnesti and takes hikers into the heart of the mountain, giving time for a refreshing tea (soup) at the mountain hut at 1400m. alt. The return path can have an extension hike to reach one peak with great panoramic views. As Piatra Craiului is the mountain with the most challenging marked trails of Romania, there are several alternative unforgettable routes for day hikes available for the private tour, taking you to the highest peak or along the main ridge.

Explore the pristine Piatra Craiului National Park on this private day hiking tour from Brașov. With an expert guide, head to Romania’s Carpathian Mountains and follow one of two 5- to 7-hour routes, according to the weather and your group’s preferences. It offers us easy walking from Cota 2000 to Babele or The Biddies, rock formations carved by nature. Nearby we take pictures with the well known "Sphynx" and we find out that the inner energy of the mountain is searched by lots of hikers – Ciucat Mnt – Starting the hike from a high point, the nearby road passes at 1135m alt. we continue to hike towards the peak along the ridge line. – Fagaras Mnt – there are a few good options for day hikes around Balea lake with stunning views. – a gentle hill walk over the rolling hills around Bran Castle

Ciucas Mnt – Starting the hike from a high point, the nearby road passes at 1135m alt. This small group tour takes you straight to the heart of rural life in Romania. See some local houses, visit  the Bat Cave, take a trek through the local mountain forests, and learn about a way of life that’s slowly disappearing. Also, we can visit Bran Castle a.k.a Dracula's Castle.

Pick up time is at 8:30 A.M. from your accommodation in Brasov. Driving to Pestera mountain village will take around 1 hour and this is the place where our hiking trip starts. After filling our canteens with the pure water of the Botorog Fountain, we will go to the impressive Gorges of Zarnesti, with its more than 100 meters high. We will go up through the forest to the valley and from there we will continue to Cabaña Curmatura where we will make a break to eat. After the stop, we will go down the Zanoaga plain to reach the starting point following a different route.

This is an easy/medium 8 to 12 km trail, 400-500 m elevation height, total 5 to 6 hours hike on wide paths with no exposure or dangerous cliffs. Opened in 2005, the "Libearty" bear sanctuary is the largest animal welfare project in Europe, a corner of heaven for mistreated bears. The bears at the sanctuary have been rescued from a cruel and abusive life in captivity, with each bear having an impressive story. "Libearty" is currently home to over 130 bears, it is recognized as the most ethical sanctuary in the world, spread over 70 hectares of oak forest with trees where bears climb, with pools where bears swim , with adequate food according to veterinarians' diets.

"Piatra Craiului" is one of the rockiest mountains in Romania. The canyon "Oratii" is part of it. The program combine the adrenaline of descending its spectacular 80m with the wild beauty of the landscape.

Spend a memorable day trip from Brasov to Piatra Craiului, one of the most challenging massifs in Romania. Together with a specialized mountain guide, you will climb on the main ridge or, depending on your physical condition, you will choose one of the optional routes available. In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Brasov. After a short transfer to Zarnesti, you will reach the starting point. The hike begins with a moderate ascent through a beech forest. Once arrived in Zanoaga meadow, you will see the amazing views of Bucegi mountains and the main ridge of Piatra Craiului mountains. You will continue on an easy trail to Curmatura Chalet, the highest situated hut in this massif, at 1470 meters. Once arrived at the chalet, you will choose one of the trails that lead to the main ridge, to the Ascutit peak (2150 m) or choose another route that best suits your fitness level and experience. Any option you choose, your guide will take good care of your safety.
