White Water Rafting Class II & III!! A fun combination of whitewater thrills and areas where the water is docile enough to jump in and go for a swim. This is perfect for a family adventure and for beginners. Wildlife abound in this section of the Balsa so keep an eye out for sloths, iguanas, howler monkeys and a vast array of tropical birds. However this trip is not all about relaxation. The rolling, tumbling class 2-3 rapids will be enough to bring laughter and excitement to the whole family. The trip will be guided by our awesome and safe guides that could make a puddle of mud fun. As with every trip, there will be one stop for locally grown, organic fruits and another stop for an authentic Costa Rican lunch, you’ll also learn about the growing, harvesting, production of chocolate, medical plants, fruits and sugar cane.

Experience an amazing ride through the rainforest on the Tenorio River viewing wildlife – the adventure of a lifetime!  Great for beginners too, this is sure to give you an adrenaline rush you won't forget. Rafting down Tenorio River 12 kilometers (about 2 hours) of the Tenorio River, passing through sections dominated by over 22 class III-IV whitewater rapids. In smoother sections, take a look around at the lush, forested scenery & spot tropical birds or monkeys high in the trees. This unique rafting tour finishes with the thrilling 12-foot waterfall drop, “Cascabel Falls.” When you arrive to the end of your exciting rafting journey at our private river exit, do a quick hike to the 4×4 vehicle, and then head back to to the tour base in Canas. After arriving back to the tour base, you’ll then be treated to a delicious Costa RIca Style lunch called a Casado with rice, beans, salad, plantains, and choice of protien. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Taino's Gourmet Kitchen lab offers you the opportunity to learn about one of the Dominican flagship products, "The Cacao Fruit". We will teach about Cacao history and what are their benefits. The fun part begins when our master chocolate starts making the magic of chocolate, where you also will be realizing your own chocolate with Master instructions. We will be doing some contest and entertainment during the class.

This class is a fun and entertaining introduction into Acrylic Pour Painting! Try out this new art medium without having to prep materials or clean up the mess yourself. It's great for families and special events as well as those just interested in learning something new. Every participant will leave with a finished piece they are proud of and is ready to be hung in their home.

The Hydro Dipping Art Experiences will be held outside in our Inspired Art Experiences tent. Hydro Dipping is so much fun, and every piece is completely unique! Your instructor will guide you through the process of choosing colors that compliment each other, and guide you through the process and techniques of dipping your tumbler or flask to create your design

Rafting Class III & IV The grandest canyon of the Balsa River, experience the excitement, serenity, joy and enchanting beauty of the river as it transforms this divine chasm and those who venture down it. You will be accompanied by expert river guides and safety kayakers,You’ll combine exciting rapids with the chance to admire beautiful nature. Once to enjoy our fresh locally grown tropical fruits and again for a delicious, authentic Costa Rican Organic lunch, you’ll also learn about the growing, harvesting, production of chocolate, medical plants, fruits and sugar cane. Finally, you will learn about sugar cane in Costa Rica. Your guide will help you extract sugar cane in a traditional fashion, and you’ll get to enjoy a glass of pure sugar cane juice. A sweet ending for an amazing adventure!

Our customized yoga class at our Riverside Rainforest yoga platform is the perfect opportunity to either continue your practice or if you’re new to yoga, this is an unintimidating class to help you explore this amazing, wholesome activity. Vacations are perfect for trying new things.

The cooking class Cartagena tour is a unique experience. See and taste exotic ingredients and fruits with great flavors, colors and all sort of shapes and get to know the local coconut rice or try the delicious “empandas”! The tour for bigger groups, 3 or more people has a better individual price, so it will be awesome to  invite friends to join the cooking class!

Be welcomed in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House (Le Clos Corbier). After a Champagne quizz, train your nose to identify the different aromas and flavors that can be found in Champagne through an olfactory workshop. Get competitive as you get to identify blindly 3 different Champagnes from boutique wineries all while eating some local snacks. Immerse yourself into the french lifestyle with a traditional lunch which consists in homemade regional specialties paired with a variety of Champagnes. Please indicate any dietary restrictions and/or allergies (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) We may charge an additional fee if these are not notified within 24 hours prior to the experience.

This awesome throw-back art form is sure to bring out the kid in everyone! Participants leave with a t-shirt, longsleeve, or apron that is dyed and ready to be washed out and worn. The shirt comes with wash & care instructions. Create a shirt as unique as you are!

Pryography is an art technique that involves using high temperatures to 'draw' designs and patterns in to wood, and also add shading and texture to the working surface. In this Inspired Art Studio class, participants will learn the basics of this art form while creating 4 different wood art pieces, using Colorado Wildlife and the Rocky Mountain Landscape as inspiration. These pieces will then be assembled into a wall hanging or mobile art piece that can be hung in the creators home to as a souvenir of their time spent in the Colorado Rockies.

This class is a fun and relaxing introduction to learning how to use Alcohol Inks to create beautiful landscapes inspired by the Rocky Mountains. It's great for families and special events as well as those just interested in learning something new. Easier to work with than watercolor and incredibly vibrant, every participant will leave with a matted, finished piece they are proud of and is ready to be framed and hung in their home.

This project is a fun introduction into the many different uses for metal as an art medium. It's an usual project, but a lot of fun!

Learn how to sculpt simple shapes from core wool, and then add bright embellishing colors to bring these sweet little creatures to life. Every participant will leave with at least one finished piece they are proud of and is ready to be hung in their home (if there is time we can create a second hummingbird). Create a beautiful reminder of spring that you can have year round! All materials and tools required for the class are provided.

With Metropolis Spanish School you will learn to communicate in Spanish while traveling and enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Nicaragua.

In this class you will learn the the basics of creating amazing fused glass pieces while also make a beautiful necklace all your own! Experience cutting glass into different shapes, layering different types of glass, and firing your unique piece. You will also get to design and string a custom beaded necklace using our a huge variety of beads that your finished fused glass pendant will prominently display on. Due to the firing process, you will not be able to take your finished pieces home right away. Classes that are available for booking at 11:00 can be pick up their finished necklaces at the end of the day (7:00 in the summer season) and classes that are available for booking at later times will need to be picked up the next day. If it will not work for you to pick up your pieces the next day, we can ship your finished piece to you for a small fee ($5.00)

Join Chef Scott and his team of local chefs for an afternoon cooking class at his kitchen in the treetops near the La Fortuna waterfall. Learn how to make traditional Costa Rican dishes like ceviche and patacones along with tropical fusion recipes like Cashew encrusted Seabass w/ mango salsa along with seared local meat with tropical chutney. The dessert is chocolate and fire, need we say more! Your unlimited mojitos are all included in this class. Come join us in our relaxed atmosphere with amazing views and discover your inner chef! You can choose to participate in the meal prep or simply observe. The class is designed for both beginners and seasoned cooks.
