Salinas by Purmamarca + Humahuaca in 2 Days


This 2-day group excursion includes a visit to the most important tourist spots in the Province of Jujuy. (Pueblo de Purmamarca – Cerro de 7 Colores – Cuesta de Lipan- Salinas Grandes – Paseo de los Colorados – Pueblo de Humahuaca), offering passengers the possibility of spending one night (or more) in the beautiful and charming town of Purmamarca, which is an icon of the Quebrada de Humahuaca (World Heritage Site).


From Salta: Serranías del Hornocal and the hill of 14 colors


We will begin the trip to the hill of 14 colors, also known as the Serranías del Hornocal. We will depart from the city of Salta to enter the province of Jujuy, where we will visit the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will pass through the town of Volcán, Purmamarca where we will find the majestic Cerro de los 7 Colores; Tilcara; Humahuaca, the largest town in the ravine; Uquía, a small town where the ancient paintings of the Arquebusier Angels reside; Huacalera, where we step on the imaginary cut of the Tropic of Capricorn and finally, La Paleta del Pintor in Maimará. Once you reach Uquía, you transfer to a 4×4 vehicle where the road to Hornocal will begin to enjoy those magnificent panoramic views. On the way back there is a stop in Humahuaca for 20 minutes. It is recommended to bring food for lunch since there is no time to stop at a restaurant in Humahuaca.

Humahuaca and Hornocal Full Day Tour


We start from Salta city heading north on National Route 9, passing through the outskirts of San Salvador de Jujuy to enter the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Cultural and Natural Heritage of Humanity. The first village we will visit will be Purmamarca, typical village with a multicolored fair in the central square, adobe houses, church of St. Rose of Lima and the spectacular Hill of the Seven Colors. The next village to be visited is Maimará where we can appreciate the colors of the Painter's Palette. In Tilcara we will make a city tour and in Huacalera we will know the monolith with the legend Tropico de Capricorn and its symbol. In Humahuaca we will have lunch and you can appreciate the Monument to the Inca, Heroes of Independence. Finally, we will visit the Serranía del Hornocal (Cerro de los 14 Colores) where "Mi Obra Maestra" was filmed. It's about the end of cretaceous time when the last dinosaurs lived 75 million years ago.


Humahuaca Quebrada Tour with Hornocal


We will leave the city of Salta and begin the journey to the 14-color hill (known as the Serranías del Hornocal) to enter the province of Jujuy, where we will visit the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Salinas Grandes with Solar Train of Humahuaca Gorge


Discover the stunning natural beauty of Argentina on this full-day tour. La Paz is a city surrounded by beautiful mountains. We'll take you to Auquisamaña Park, where you'll find a network of trails for you to explore on your own. This area is filled with nature (ideal for birdwatching), with several rest areas and viewpoints that allow you to enjoy the sound of nature and first rays of the sun with a spectacular view of the city! You can also request an additional visit to the Valle de las Animas after your visit for an additional fee.
