Cider Tasting

Our wine tour is a social, down to earth and laid back trip that offers great wines, gin,cider and more..and we have a laugh doing it! We'll pick you up in the morning and focus on everyone getting to know each other. We get everyone to add to a Spotify playlist so we have some tunes and spend the first hour just chatting! Every tour is different. Everything we do on my trip is discussed by the group in the morning. We will give you options to choose from including many different wineries, Distilleries, a cheese place,a chocolate factory, Cideries, restaurants and breweries.  However if you just want to come along and put your trust in us, we will visit 4 or 5 unique venues, all with a point of difference. Generally we do 2 wineries,a restaurant,a distillery and either,a chocolate place or a champagne place. We don't include lunch in the price, so we go to a restaurant (Quarters) where you can order/pay what you want to eat/drink. We use a 24 seater bus, but only fill 10-18 seats

We provide private, small group tours in our large deluxe van for a more intimate experience. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a scenic drive to wine country 35-45 minutes outside Victoria. Visit three venues in the Saanich Peninsula and sample from 3-4 tastings at each location. Enjoy the beautiful orchards, vineyards and mountain views. Participants will be introduced to six Maine-made ciders and beers from six different producers – and hear the stories behind the brewers that brought them to your glass. This guided, 30-minute experience is a fantastic introduction to Maine's beer/cider landscape and history. We recommend scheduling this class at the beginning of your time in Maine so you can take advantage of all you've learned during the rest of your trip. Cider (named sagardo in Basque language, which means apple wine) is one of the most traditional and everlasting Basque drinks. The magic that involves its production (made in traditional Basque homesteads for centuries) can still be found in cider houses (Sagardotegis, in Basque language) where, apart from tasting the most traditional cider house menu, a guided tour of the apple trees and the different production areas is included in order to unveil every secret of this drink’s production. Transportation and lunch are included in this tour, with free flow cider included during lunch!

Then we will go to the Montañon Negro, a protected area of volcanic origin at an altitude of over 1600 meters, a unique landscape that offers a unique perspective of the island. The next stop will be in Artenara, the highest village of Gran Canaria, where you will enjoy a guided tour of its cave houses or its hermitage, to enjoy a typical meal in one of its local restaurants. From the viewpoints of Unamuno and Corazón de Jesús, you will witness breathtaking panoramic view. In the afternoon, you will explore the Tamadaba Natural Park, home to the best preserved pine forest in the archipelago, with more than 200 plant species. You will arrive at the viewpoint of Llanos de la Mimbre, to enjoy a landscape of sea, mountains and ravines.
