Hear how the cheese is still produced following traditional methods. After making the cheese, we do a guided tour of the farm where you can interact with the animals. You help us to feed the cows and give the calves their milk. Since Switzerland is known for its cheese, you will go beyond the usual tourist destinations in Basel to discover the process of making various kinds of Swiss cheese. Learn from a cheese sommelier to cherish the mild and strong flavors of young and aged cheese of Switzerland's iconic regions. Try the country's pride called Gruyère AOP cheese, including other famous cheeses in Switzerland. By the end of the cheese tasting, you will admire the natural taste of cheese, free from preservatives, food colorings, and flavor enhancers.

In the House of Cheese we try to let you know the importance of the Majorera Goat has for Fuerteventura and its people. How is it possible that such a special animal has been able to overcome all the possible adversities with respect to the desert climate of our island, passing feeding difficulties in the history of the years, and not being able to sustain our ancestors majoreros, with their milk or meat, but has been and is able to provide us with a milk of such high quality, which has made Fuerteventura goat cheeses in the best in the world.

I was born and raised in these places, my ancestors already lived here as did the family that owns the farmhouse that hosts us. Over the years we have carried out agricultural activities that have expanded rural knowledge. The profession of hiking guide has taught me how to best narrate my territory. A day as a Shepherd is an immersion in uncontaminated places and with boundless landscapes, full of ancient and authentic history. It will be possible to rediscover flavors and sensations that are now far from everyday life. Making a cheese with your own hands and with the milk milked from the animals that live a few meters away strengthens the relationship with the territory and the experience, from which you can also take home the piece of cheese you made!!

At a distance of 7 km from the Town of Naxos and 2 km from area “Gerontoelia” of “Adisaros” (which claims the title of the oldest olive tree in the world), on a hill is the farm of Giannis, the Farm Experience, as his wife Katerina persuaded him to call it. Private Tour with Cheese Making Experience in Nicosia Farm


Enjoy a private and authentic food experience with hosts Deniz and Gunay. This is a perfect experience for anyone looking to connect with local culture over food. This Hellim cheese-making experience takes place on Deniz and Gunay’s 7-acre property. They live in a traditional Cypriot house with a beautiful fruit and vegetable garden spotted with fig, orange, pomegranate and apricot trees. You will be welcomed with fresh lemonade before you walk through the garden and animal farm. Next, learn from your hosts the traditional way to make Hellim cheese from scratch. It is a semi-hard, unripe, brined cheese made from a mixture of goat and sheep's milk. After you learn the art of cheese making, learn to make traditional cheese pastries such as pirohu (dumplings wrapped in unleavened dough) before siting down at the dining table to eat your creations. Your menu will include homemade cheese, jams, kleftiko (sheep kebaps cooked in an oven) and seasonal vegetables.
