Kuelap, called the other Machu Picchu, is located very close to Chachapoyas. It is one of the most representative archaeological sites in the lower montane forest of Peru. Chachapoyas is described by historians as a "Great Kingdom", for its large territory and organization. It holds many stone monuments, funeral buildings and mausoleums that can take us to a magical and unique place.

During the morning you will travel through the Chachapoyas forest for about an hour in direction of the Sarcophagi of Karajía. These sarcophagi are elaborate two-meter high clay sculptures that rest on the edge of a rocky cliff of limestone, looking towards the abyss. The visit in the place will last approximately 40 minutes after which you will head back to Chachapoyas.
