Invergordon Shore Excursion Loch Ness, Distillery and Castles

Your guide will meet you at the port to begin your unforgettable shore excursion in Invergordon. Sit back and relax as you head through the scenic Highlands to the historic Cawdor Castle, famous for its 14th-century charm and links to Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Explore its elegant rooms and gardens before continuing to a traditional whisky distillery. Enjoy a guided tour, learn about Scotland’s iconic drink, and sample a fine dram. Then journey to Loch Ness and the dramatic Urquhart Castle ruins, where breathtaking views await. Entrance to the Distillery is included in the tour price. Entrance to the Castles is optional and not included in the shore excursion price. A separate link to reserve tickets will be sent to you shortly after you have reserved your tour. As a guide Castle Entry is approximately £14 – £16 per person.

This small-group shore excursion from Cobh Cruise Terminal accommodates no more than 24 passengers on a luxury small van and allows for a particularly intimate day on shore. The tour begins with a pick-up from the cruise liner terminal in Cobh, Cork Harbour, where your driver will be waiting for you to drive you to Blarney Castle and Castles, where the admission is included. Take a panoramic drive through Cork City, where your guide will point out the highlights of the southern capital. In the afternoon visit Jameson @ Midleton and enjoy a tour of this famous whiskey distillery.

1. Observe many from the 123 brown bears of various ages hosted by the Sanctuary in Zarnesti (the biggest Bear Sanctuary in Europe).
2. Visit the famous Bran Castle which initially served as military defense fortification, then as customs point and ultimately as one of the summer residences of the Romanian royal family.
It's a medieval castle with a royal touch, that's also linked to the Dracula legend. Besides touring the castle you also get free time for souvenirs in the bazaar at the footsteps of the landmark.
3. The Rasnov citadel was an important medieval fortification in Transylvania. It has a spectacular view of the Barsa Land. We'll visit the outside garden and the Rasnov letters on the hill!
4. Last but not least you can taste our traditional strong drink at a local Palinca distillery. Find out how plumbs, apricots, cherries, pears and other fruits are distilled and maturated!
