ABOUT THE TOUR: The main objective in this Segway tour is the Gibralfaro Castle, a palatial fortification, built by the Hammudid dynasty in the early 11th century. Following this route from Invergordon or Inverness heading north we will visit areas very few visitors ever get to see.

Departure by bus to Marzamemi, wonderful seaside village! The history of this small village began in 1752 along with the construction of the tonnara, around which the palace of Prince of Villadorata was built. A visit to an artisan workshop where the tuna bottarga is produced, under oil, and it still has traditional methodologies. Continue by bus to Porto Palo di Capo Passero, where you will see the remains of an ancient tuna station dominated by Castle Tafuri.

Nowhere in Slovenia there are so many (remains of) castles and manors as there are in the river basin of Savinja. The reasons for that can be found in several facts. Firstly it is important to stress that up to 1140 this was the centre of Savinja margraviate, that a lot of property was gained by the Carinthia Krško bishops and last but not least that a lot of noble families settled in this area. In our level 1 class, getting you up your first few rock climbs is the goal. Additionally, we’ll share the sense of adventure that drives our guides’ passion for the sport, and provide you with the most enjoyable first day of climbing possible. We’ll begin with a short introduction to climbing gear and safety that includes teaching basic commands and climber tie-in knots. Then we’ll spend the remainder of our time climbing!

Petrelë castle is located 15 km south of Tirana. It is famous its history, as it is located next to the Illyrian anciet city of Persqop back to more than 3000 years, and its beautiful views. In ancient times Petrelë was known also in documents as Petralba, which translated from Greek means 'the stone' of 'alba', therefore "The stone of Albanians". One can definitely see why it is called such, since the town and its castle are built on a huge stone on top of a small mountain. Petrelë's Castle is one of the oldest structures in the area.
