Welcome to my introduction to my hometown: discover local culture while we walk amongst landmarks and try local snacks. Come hungry! I will take you through a list of food spots that I've personally chosen. From hots to colds, solids to beverages, sweet to salty, stores & street vendors, national and local, fried to baked, fruits to meats, and everything in between while we walk amongst the city's most famous landmarks. All tasting options are snacks. Don't be fooled, most are not small. Our route will be the following (depending on availability): STOP 1: plantain chips. STOP 2: Bakery – pandebono, roscón. STOP 3: coconut products STOP 4: Empanadas and local fried snacks as well as lulada and champús, traditional beverages. STOP 5: Chontaduro: regional fruit said to be aphrodisiac. STOP 6: Raspado / Cholado – ice with fruits in different preparations. Vegans welcome. Vegetarians welcome. Gluten-free people are welcome. Meat-lovers welcome as well! There are options for everybody.

This is not your typical coffee tour. As a local coffee producer, barista, and exporter, I offer a unique perspective and first-hand knowledge of the coffee culture and process in Colombia. You'll get to experience a private activity in my coffee workshop with small group sizes or one-on-one guidance, allowing for personalized attention and ample opportunities to learn and enjoy more. This is an authentic and immersive experience that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for Colombian coffee and its importance in the country's culture and economy.

The tour is different every day, we visit real life activities in different parts of the city, authentic places that show the different forms of the strong salsa culture in Cali. People who work in the salsa industry, making music, instruments, costumes, shoes, dance classes, shows, events, tourism, concerts – keeping the culture alive with collections of LP's, photography, books and much more. There is so much to tell and to show how salsa is lived in the salsa capital and we are eager to show it all to you, although it doesn't all fit in one tour! 🙂

Experience the local night as a true salsa lover with Salsa Bar Hopping, a tour designed to take you to the heart of Salsa Caleña. The experience begins in San Antonio, Cali’s most traditional and bohemian neighborhood, where salsa sounds and the atmosphere is perfect to warm up with the first games designed to connect. Then, we enter the vibrant Calle de la Salsa, where the new sounds and fusions give life to the current salsa scene. Finally, the night culminates in the legendary Barrio Obrero, birthplace of salsa in Cali, where history, music and passion meet in a final dance that you never want to end. Throughout the tour, you will share with people from all over the world in an atmosphere of games, dynamics and good energy that will make you feel part of the local party. It’s not just a tour, it’s an immersion in authentic salsa, from tradition to modernity, in the city that never stops dancing.

IMPORTANT- There is a dress code for this tour! Guys must wear pants for the last club!! Swimwear, sandals, hats, sportswear, and sunglasses are NOT allowed! Furthermore, we do not allow any aspects of sex tourism either. We are a group of local friends that host bar crawls in Colombia. We wanted to give foreigners and tourists a unique "locals' experience", so we started these bar crawls. This bar crawl consists of 3 local bars and 1 club, all located in the nightlife district of Cali. El Peñon is one of the most popular nightlife areas among locals and tourists in Cali. We will meet at the first bar at 8:30 pm to congregate and converse. We will then proceed to the next bars every hour, finally finishing off at the club by 12:15 am. Sometimes locals also come on our crawls, so you may have the opportunity to connect with some Colombians and practice your Spanish!

We will start at our office in the San Antonio neighborhood, walking for about 15 minutes towards the historic center. After an introduction to the city at the Jairo Varela plaza we will begin our walk through the historic center, getting to know its old architecture, parks, theaters, churches, museums, cathedrals and monuments dedicated to important people in our history. It is a tour of the main tourist attractions of the City, The City tour is divided in two ways, and the first one is in the vehicle, where you visit Cristo Rey, Sebastian De Belalcazar, Tejada's cats. The second way is made by walking, starting at Jairo Varela square, Jairo Varela Museum (if it is open), Boulevard del Rio, Ermita Church, Plaza de Caicedo. Throughout the tour the visitor is introduced to the history of Cali and its respective sites of interest. And to finish the tour it is directed in the vehicle to Park of the Cholados, offering you a typical tasting.

Commune 20 has many interesting stories in the style of the series "gangs, war and peace"; The local guides will tell us about their experience in the neighborhood and will take us through the streets full of graffiti that keep the memories of what has happened; We will visit some viewpoints that only 1% of the city's population has observed and we will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.
