Experience the tropical rainforest beauty, the beach and the canals with this full-day excursion tour with a professional guide and have an enjoyable time on the Caribbean coast. The tour starts in Puerto Limon where you can enjoy a scenic view of the town, learn about its history and take a boat ride through the Canals of Tortuguero. Our guide will meet you at the entrance of the park, you will have to do the check in at the counter by giving a donation to the park. On this tour you will have the opportunity to explore the beauty of the national park, including the flora and fauna. Our experience guide will spot all the great things for you. Once you are done with the walk you can decide to walk back with the guide or stay at the beach inside the park. This is not a private tour. This tour is for a minimum of two people. If you are a solo traveler please ask for availability.

This is a unique tour that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the humid tropical forest like never before. Once we arrive at the Cahuita National Park, our guide will be in charge of showing you all the beauties within the park. We will walk for approximately 2 hours in search of wild animals. Once this time was over, we headed to the Bribri community to share the experience of making chocolate in a traditional way. We will arrive at a local family, where we will share for about 2 hours about the history, the way of life, the language and we will also have the opportunity to make 100% organic chocolate in a traditional way. To finish, we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients. Then we go to the waterfall where we will walk for approximately 10 minutes until we reach the waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and to finish we will have a delicious tropical snack.

Inside the trail, among the abundant fauna, visitors may witness the 3 toed sloths and see the different species of birds: Toucans, oropendolas, Tanagers, Hummingbirds, kiskadees, and much more, squirrels, and the majestic butterflies that swarm through the trail.

The tour begins with a walk in Cahuita National Park, a paradise of wildlife and nature. You will have the chance to see amazing animals such as monkeys, sloths, coatis and more. After the walk, we will visit the Bri-Bri Tribe, an indigenous community that lives in harmony with nature and preserves its ancestral traditions and knowledge. You will learn about their use of plants and their culture. You will also witness the traditional preparation of cacao, the sacred food of the gods. You will taste the delicious chocolate and learn about it. Next, we will enjoy a mouthwatering lunch prepared by a Bri-Bri cook in a very traditional way where you will savor the flavors of the local cuisine. Finally, we will go to the Ma-Cu Waterfall, a hidden gem in the jungle. You will have the opportunity to relax in the refreshing pool and eat some fresh fruit. We will end the day with fresh coconut water to hydrate your body.

Carara stands out in its inclusion features, being the first National Park of Costa Rica with a universal trail. The Carara National Park, which in the Huetar indigenous language means “River of Crocodiles”, has the only transitional forest in the Central Pacific, which translates into a diversity of flora and fauna, where species of dry and humid forests converge.
