Mistico Hanging Bridges


Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges is one of the most visited tourism attractions in La Fortuna within a 250-hectare (618 acre) reserve of primary forest. It is located between the edges of two types of forest, highland and lowland, and integrates both. Visitors who love nature can enjoy 15 bridges from 5 to 100 meters long, friendly design along 3.2 km rain forest circuit of interpretive trails built with paving blocks to prevent slipping. The bridges are built of aluminum, galvanized steel, and concrete, to ensure maximum security for the visitors and were designed by structural engineers with the most demanding safety margins in the world. Located in the North Shore, a short 30 mins drive from downtown Vancouver. The park is quieter and more diverse than the crowded Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We'll also stop at Cleveland Dam. Rent a bike at the bicycle rental shop nearest to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Bike along waterfront paths and across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, where you can return by ferry (ticket is your own expense). A helmet, lock, and map are all included with your rental.


Bridge, Lighthouses & Some Treats


Enjoy this half day tour along PEI’s south shore. Departing from the Charlottetown waterfront, you will see old Charlottetown and hear about its important role in the founding of Canada. From the city, we head west into communities of the farmlands and tidy rural homes on our way to Victoria-by-the-Sea. This quaint artisan village holds many treasures, from a pretty range lighthouse to craft shops, the wharf, cafes and a chocolate shop. Leaving Victoria, you will see more of PEI’s red sandstone shore and the Confederation Bridge comes into view. This record-setting structure is an engineering marvel. We stop at the foot of the bridge for an up-close look, and another lighthouse. One more drive on scenic road to the Seacow Head Lighthouse where you can climb to the top for another view or stop in to their cafe for a beverage. The final leg of this tour is in Charlottetown, through pretty neighbourhoods and we leave you with a Cows' Ice Cream coupon to enjoy at your leisure.
