Your driver will come to your accommodation around 930 to whisk you off to your first wine tour and tasting. During the day we will escort you to three wineries to see the differences in production methods and sample each wineries products. A lunch stop will be included at a local restaurant with the tour continuing after lunch. Author's trekking at the historic cellar of Montalcino This is a path in the Brunello vineyards along which there are the dedications of the winners of the "Casato Prime Donne Award" and the works of contemporary Tuscan artists. The history and ancient traditions of the kitchen will become very familiar to you, so much so that you can reproduce the recipes even at home. Sienese cuisine is patriarchal, it comes from the countryside. In many respects it is similar to the Tuscan one, but if we think of vegetable soups: in Siena they prepared them with a few more aromatic herbs, such as calamint, thyme, ginger, which give a symphony of smells and flavours. Here the dishes are called godende. The Sienese love everything that belongs to the table and its pleasures. All the toponymy here speaks of food, just think of the names of alleys such as Malcucinato or Salecotto. Not to mention the wine: in the province of Siena there are 5 D.O.C.G. and 14 D.O.C. 3-course lunch in a selected trattoria or tavern to savor the historic dishes of Siena. During the journeys I will tell you the history of the area and its traditions, the vines and the peculiarities of the area. We will visit 2 splendid wineries representative of the Chianti Classico territory and, after touching the vineyards and visiting the cellars, we will taste the wines produced. We will have lunch at a beautiful winery in Panzano in Chianti (FI, after visiting the vineyards and cellars, then in the afternoon we will move to Barberino Val d'Elsa (FI).
