Actun Tunichil Muknal is a mysterious and beautiful portal to the ancient Maya and their traditions, ceremonies and spirituality. This cave system served as a ceremonial site where the Maya performed sacrifices and other ceremonies as they dealt with extreme and harsh conditions in times of drought. Explore this lush area surrounded by beautiful jungles, and the cave entrance is traversed by swimming across a crystal clear spring fed pool. Spend 3 hours in the cave after hiking in through the rain forest. Here you will see stunning artifacts, altars and the crystallized skeletons of the sacrificed girl, The Crystal Maiden.

Extreme Waterfall Rappelling at Bocawina – Antelope Falls


Climb to the top of Antelope Falls with your trusty harness, then let gravity take over as you descend 250 feet down the falls clipped into a rope system operated by one of our experienced guides. Recommendations: Bring bug repellent, long pants, t-shirt, bathing suit, sneakers (you will get wet but will dry quickly). You should be fit enough for the 1½ hour* hike to the top of the falls some of which is on steep terrain. Minimum weight 100lbs.

The hike is about 1.1 miles each way, and while it’s considered moderately challenging due to the steep climb, the views and experience are worth every step. You’ll ascend roughly 550 feet to the top of the falls, where a natural emerald pool awaits you—perfect for a refreshing swim with panoramic views stretching all the way to the Caribbean Sea. Along the way, our knowledgeable guides will point out interesting plants, animals, and natural features, making this more than just a hike—it’s an immersive jungle adventure.
