La Leona Waterfall Hike An intimate private tour of the most off the beaten path trail to La Leona Waterfall. The day consists of a moderate 2-hour hike alongside the blue waters of Rio Blanco located deep in the canyons of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano where you will spot wildlife with your local guide along the way. You will be lead along the shaded path that goes upriver, stopping by 5 different pools and passing through a stone canyon, caves and small waterfalls until you reach the entrance of the canyon that leads to La Leona waterfall. Here you put your things in a drybag to jump into the water and swim a short distance to the waterfall. The waterfall has a stone beach in front of it where you can take photos. This is a unique adventure we are the only company where you can get the experience booked, starting with an easy calme water tubing in a blue river, to waterfalls, cliff jumping, canyons, coves, and more waterfalls enjoy the day as the locals do. In this adventure you will visit a blue water river starting with a slow water tubing then you will see a small waterfall and after 10 minutes walk you will be able to do Cliff jumping, On the second spot you will hike down a mountain trough adventurous trails, coves, cliffs, ladders, for about 30 minutes then you will swim with a rope against the current to see a magical waterfalls at the best Indiana Jones Style. IMPORTANT: closed toe shoes are a requirement (not chacos) Then Let's have lunch at a local restaurant, taste the local traditional Casado. On the third spot you will hike through the locals path for 5 minutes to a 90ft waterfall, go to the top and them swim down the base of the waterfall.

This tour is available for all ages. Ages between 5 years old to 70 years old senior people. IMPORTANT NOTE: Small groups in this tour . Tour duration with roundtrip transportation from hotels to both tours and lunch are around 4 to 5 hours. Walking duration total are 1 hour and 45 minutes roundtrip by the trails. Clients take a truck ride from the parking area to the hiking trail. 2 miles roundtrip hiking. Hiking is extreme and require good physical conditions, hiking shoes or sneakers (NO FLIP FLOPS). Brings towels, comfortable clothes, raincoat, insect repellent, sunblock, extra clothes and cash for extras. IMORTANT NOTE: Hike at the waterfall La Leona are really extreme because you have to climb stairs up and down the rocks and vines, streams to get to the waterfall. The tour starts with an introduction to the adventure park and a quick lesson on how to Zipline through the canopy and Rappelling down waterfalls. After the safety speech and introduction, you will take a Jungle Bus to the top, where you can look out over the gorgeous tropical canopy, the La Fortuna, Pino Blanco waterfall, and Arenal Volcano. Next, you will take a 20-minute hike through the jungle accompanied by a highly trained guide who will explain the area’s importance and help you discover any wildlife along the way. Upon arriving at the ziplines, you will take three shorter cables to familiarize yourself with the operation and sensation. There are 12 Ziplines, measuring 3.5 kilometers in total length. The longest cable stretches 980 meters over the Famous La Fortuna Waterfall, two cables over the Pino Blanco Waterfall, and the remaining Ziplines through the multiple layers of tropical canopy and La Fortuna River below.

Later we will go to one of the most visited places in Costa Rica (La Paz Waterfall Gardens) . The waterfall is located immediately alongside the road from Alajuela that leads to the northern plains of Costa Rica. The River La Paz forms the waterfall after traversing 8 kilometres (5 mi) of volcanic terrain, and then continues through the rainforest of the eastern side of Poás Volcano. A short path leads behind the waterfall, where a small shrine had been located.
