Beagle Channel Navigation with Minitrekking


We work with small groups of up to 25 passengers in a familiar and friendly environment with the company of professional Spanish and English speaking guides. The excursions are carried out with the “KAMS and“ TELIENKA ”yachts, twin boats of 15 meters in length, which due to their dimensions allow a maximum approach to the islands allowing preferential sightings. During our tour we visit Isla Alicia, Isla de Pájaros and Isla de Lobos, where we make very close sightings of the fauna of the Beagle Channel. We know the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse built in 1919, a true emblem of the City of Ushuaia. At the end, we disembark at Bridges Island to go through a path of interpretation of flora and birds, telling them the history of the Yámanas aborigines. Here are the largest anthropogenic Yámanas shells in the region. It also has a panoramic point from where we can observe the magnificence of the Beagle Channel with the City of Ushuaia in the distance.

In this navigation you will visit the Sea Lion's Island, Birds' Island  and "Les Eclaireurs" Lighthouse. Also, there will be a landing on Bridges Island, for the interpretation of the flora, fauna and history of the place 2 DAILY DEPARTURES Summer schedule (October to April): 09:30am and 04:00pm Winter schedule (May to September): 10:00am and 03:00pm DURATION: 2:30 aprox. Navigation in the Beagle Channel with minitrekking USHUAIA


We set sail from the local tourist pier crossing the wide Bay of Ushuaia until we reach the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico. There we will sail around the Island of the Birds where we will be able to appreciate the Fuegian avifauna. We will observe: Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Vapor Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls. Then, we will approach Isla de los Lobos where we will be able to observe sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago. Arriving at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators), we will be able to see the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rock Cormorants while listening to the story of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes that he starred in 1930. We will make a descent in Puerto Karelo, belonging to the Bridges Islands, where you can visit genuine Yámana shell middens. This guided walk lasts approximately 20 minutes and concentrates us on a panoramic point where very good photographs can be taken.

Beagle Channel Sailing Tour: Birds, Seals & Penguins Islands


We begin the navigation with a panoramic view of the Ushuaia coast, spotting the most important buildings, the Maritime Museum, Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains. We sail to the southwest, approaching the island of Los Lobos, where we can enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat. Continuing the navigation, we will head towards the island of Los Pájaros, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to see specimens of marine birds. We continue sailing towards Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name. On these islets it is possible to see parts of Monte Cervantes, a ship that sank in 1930. Arriving at Isla Martillo, we observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with notable curiosity, enter the sea swimming below the catamaran and re-emerge.
