The Battle of Arnhem (from Amsterdam)

I will pick you up from your hotel and we drive to the Arnhem area. We will visit the drop zones and see how far the soldiers had to go to reach the bridge by Arnhem. We visit the Airborne Museum and of course the bridge itself, passing many important spots where key events of the battle took place. I will show you the story from the perspective of the soldiers and citizens, in Oosterbeek and Arnhem, and let you experience the chaos, the missed opportunities, and the tragedy the battle came to be.

No need to go on a scavenger hunt or look for answers to be able to continue with this selfguided city walk. Learn more about Arnhem Central railway station, the Eusebius Church and strange art you can find on the church, the Devils House, the Saber gate, the John Frostbridge/the Battle of Arnhem and the connection that Arnhem has with Audrey Hepburn, just to name a few things!
