Aurora Camp is located on a hilltop near Murphy Dome, a top Northern Lights viewing spot near Fairbanks, favored by Aurora photographers. The cabin sits in an area with wide-open views, free from light pollution or any obstructions, offering a full panoramic view of the Northern Lights. We would not cancel due to lack of lights or cloudy skies. Even if it snows a little, the tour will not be cancelled because the weather may change. Dangerous weather conditions (heavy snow, rain, icy roads) and emergencies may result in cancellations. Because of the natural things involved we have a NO REFUND policy. The same cancellation policy applies to cancellations due to flight or train delays.

Our cabin is located in Skyline, one of the best aurora viewing spots in Fairbanks, perched on a towering mountaintop far from the city lights. It faces a northern valley where the aurora frequently appears. Multiple outdoor viewing platforms provide ample space for guests to take photos, ensuring everyone enjoys a private, uninterrupted experience while marveling at the northern lights. Inside the cabin, the flames in the hearth dance joyfully, casting a warm glow on the wooden ceilings and walls, creating a cozy and serene atmosphere. With a cup of hot chocolate in hand, you can admire the graceful dance of the aurora through the large glass windows, feeling as though it’s within reach. Outside, the world is still and silent, with only the aurora sweeping across the sky. The cabin becomes a hidden sanctuary where you are at one with nature, experiencing the profound tranquility and awe of the moment.

One thing that sets our tour apart from other is the mobile experience of the tour. We focus on making sure we are getting the best photos of the Aurora by "chasing" it with a vehicle and stopping when we think its a good time to take photos. For our Aurora Lodge Viewing Tour, we select one of the best Aurora viewing lodges in the area, to give you not only the best chance possible, to view the Northern Lights, but also provide you with the comfort of a warm and safe area. This is bringing the Aurora viewing to a whole new level. You will not only have a warm spot to wait for the Aurora to show up, but also have a great local tour guide with you. He or she will be able to answer all of  your questions and provide you with additional information.  After a convenient pick up from your hotel inside the city limits, we will leave the city lights behind us in our spacious vans ensuring each guests comfort. Even though everything is good or not good (Weather and Aurora Activity) when it starts, the weather or Northern Lights' activity always changes, and other conditions may change. It will be the natural things involved, which causes a lack of lights or low visibility. We pick you up at Hotels listed. (You may get an email about Pick up time and Location.) With Photo Service (JPG Files) we will upload your photos into OneDrive or Dropbox linked. It takes 3 days to send a URL linked.

Small aurora Tours! Escape the crowds, leave the buses behind, and take in the lights with a small number of travellers! With space for up to 10 people, we will travel by pickup truck or van out to a clear spot to hopefully catch sight of the elusive Aurora Borealis.

We will pick up our guests at each hotel and take all guests to different lake locations, find a good place to enjoy the aurora viewing and relax on our luxury bus. You will appreciate the northern lights around the lake and see the reflection on the lake when the aurora appears. Our tour guide will also take pictures for all guests and teach them how to use their cameras to shoot the Northern Lights. During the trip, we will also provide guests with hot drinks and biscuits, as well as expertise on the Northern Lights and Yellowknife.

The best of both worlds, Aurora Chasing and Aurora Lodge! This is the Aurora Tour that allow you to have the cake and eat it too! On a cold and clear night, guests will spend more time in a spacious and warm Lodge near Madeline Lake and wait for the aurora show to begin. While waiting, there will be a display of various furs and animal products, guests will also have access to board games, cards, majong, arcades, foosball, and basket ball shooter. Light snacks and hot beverages are also provided. View the aurora in comfort, go to proper washrooms without freezing your butts off in comfort. On a night with roaming cloud, Guests will spend more time driving to clearer location to have better chance to see the Aurora. If the location of the Aurora Chasing is near the lodge, guests may use the lodge to rest and recuperate. Professional photographer will take guests photos and provide original digital photos to all guests at no additional charge.

View the northern lights out on the land in a private setting at a cabin on a remote island. If the aurora are not visible, halfway through the evening the group will relocate to a secondary location, something that no other tour group provides (two locations in one night). The groups are limited to twelve people total to maintain an intimate experience with the aurora.

Join our Northern Lights Dinner Cruise and enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner from a local restaurant in Tromsø while we look for the Northern Lights!

This is a self drive activity, meaning you would need to handle your own transportation to and from our location. Dinner reservations start at 8:00pm for this activity, and included in your booking is a 3-course meal at Latitude 65. Alcohol is not included, but is available for purchase, as are additional add ons and appetizers.  After dinner, you can relax in our lounge space and utilize our free wi-fi while you wait for the Aurora Borealis to make an appearance. At 10pm our staff hold a nightly presentation discussing the science and folklore behind the northern lights, which is a free presentation.  When the aurora makes an appearance, our staff will inform you where to look! We also offer additional photography sessions at $60 per person.  The yurt closes at 2:00am, which is when you would need to depart the property.
