Curral das Freiras is a small village surrounded by huge mountains in the heart of the island. The cauldron on which this town sits was formed by erosion, as many believe, or by volcanic activity. After passing the church of Santo António, we stop at the 355m Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint where you'll be dazzled by a magnificent view over Funchal. We then cross the mountains to Eira do Serrado where there is a viewpoint over the Curral das Freiras valley at 1094m. We visit the famous parish of Curral das Freiras and return to Funchal.

This 8 hour tour covers the basic 17-mile loop of Monument Valley and visits some restricted backcountry stops. We will visit the sacred valley of the Incas famous for its scenic beauty and archaeological centers. Pickup from your hotel will be between 7:30 – 8:00 am (wait at the reception of your hotel) we will visit the typical market of Pisac, then we will go to the archaeological center located on the top of the mountain, this archaeological center has huge agricultural terraces, water fountains, a religious center and an Inca cemetery. We will continue the journey along the valley, towards the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo known as the living Inca people as its constructions are inhabited by the inhabitants of the town, also has its impressive Temple of the Sun, its endless stairs, water fountains and temples. Our last visit will be the archaeological center of Chinchero, a fascinating place that houses temples, platforms and a rich textile tradition, you can know the art of weaving and dyeing alpaca wool, a skill transmitted by generations.

Ourika valley, 60 Km From Marrakech, is not named after the water coming down the High Atlas, green with is Berber villages which are hung down from the mountains, in addition to its beautiful huts of water and cool shade of fruit trees, near the village of Setti Fadma.
