Archery Experience

Kyudo is a Japanese martial art based on shooting an arrow from a Japanese bow to a target to reach a complete focus of mind and body. The main difference of kyudo and western archery is that, in kyudo, every movement follows a traditional routine that pays respect to the equipment and to the opponent. You will come to the archery range and dress in an authentic kyudo uniform, which will include dogi—the upper wear—and hakama—the lower wear. I'll give a brief explanation about the art of kyudo as well as instructions and demonstrations. With the knowledge you'll gain, you will learn to shoot arrows at the target. You'll also understand the fun and challenging aspect of the sport, particularly while wearing the traditional hakama and armor. Usually in kyudo, you are not allowed to pull the arrow unless you master the basics. But during our lesson, you will be able to enjoy the real kyudo experience even as a complete beginner. It will be a great time if you are looking for a nice photo or movie to show to your friends.

Archery in itself is a fun sport and lots of people do it as a hobby. We have a large property here in Joshua Tree where you will have plenty of space to shoot arrows at very far distances if you'd like too. The archery range spans out to 100 feet. Hitting the targets is a bit tough at 100 feet but we recommend that you try just for fun. It's exciting hitting the target at a farther distance. You'll notice your accuracy will improve quickly and in 20 minutes or so and you will become a good archer before you know it. Doing archery with friends, companions, or family is a great experience to do while in Joshua Tree or Palm Springs or if you are just passing by and want to stop by for an hour and shoot some arrows, it's a fun unique activity that you probably won't do anywhere else. We have targets set up for you when you come along with lots of arrows to shoot and bows. All you have to do is show up. Our archery range is located in a beautiful and relaxing scenic setting. We have enough time to do program, so you have dozens (not a dozen) of times to try, but please understand that you may not hit the target on your first day, or you may get lucky once or twice. So, get advice on how to improve your movement. Although the instructor in this program is a DAN master (seeker), we have made many improvements over the thousands of people we have accepted for this experience and have created the program that can be enjoyed even by those who are new to Kyudo. *【CAUTION】 The meeting point is "not" at Tokyo Station. We use different facilities on different days for this experience. After reservation, we will inform you of the meeting place a few days before the event. Late arrivals cannot join this experience. * If you'd like to buy uniform, inform us [male/female type, height in cm, waist in cm], at least 7 days before the event date. We'll prepare a set of new one(jacket, pants, belt). And pay 20,000 yen in cash on the day of the event. (non-cancellable)

Archery Land is a family run outdoor forest archery range with a 50 year history in the scenic countryside of Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima. We offer a union of western-style archery with a unique Japanese flavor. Our facilities include an outdoor range with adjustable targets up to 70 meters, and a 12-target field archery course meandering through our well-maintained forest. Anyone, from first-timers to professional competitors, is welcome at our range. Rental bows and training will be provided to beginner archers.

We are the only venue in Wales currently offering Aerial Archery. Aerial Archery is like clay pigeon shooting with a bow and arrow. It's very different to traditional Archery.

Test your skill and precision—if you hit the target 3 times out of 16 arrows, you'll earn the honor of writing your name in traditional Japanese calligraphy, proudly displayed in our 160-year-old dojo. Train in a historic setting with expert instruction, and enjoy a fully immersive experience with English-friendly guidance, making it accessible to all visitors.

My class is not entertainment for foreigners. This class allows you to experience swordsmanship and archery. Your instructor is a master of swordsmanship and horseback archery. Join samurai training in a real dojo. Gain insight into the art of Samurai. Learn about samurai culture, hone your skills. Upon arrival at the dojo, you will receive a short lecture and change into training wear. In the iai lesson, you will learn how to handle and swing the mock sword. In the gekken lesson, you will learn the timing of attack and defense, and spar with a practice sword. There is also an activity where you can check the blade line. You can also try out a bow, which was the main weapon of the samurai 1000 years ago. Participants will also have the opportunity to see a live demonstration of Toyama-ryu 7th grade. This classes are not entertainment, so you'll get to see a variety of difficult techniques. Look forward to it.

When you arrive at the Paseo Vista Archery range, you'll find all the necessary equipment ready and waiting, including targets, bows, arrows, and safety gear. Located in the centre of our grounds, our archery range can accommodate 15 plus targets from standard target faces all the way through to dartboard faces. We also have a few 3-D targets available to aim at. Seeing our foam Meerkat take an arrow to the face and then get back up ready for another one is a delight to see! About The Sessions The sessions start with a safety brief from a GNAS or Archery GB qualified instructor and then we let the arrows fly. Sessions normally start from 10 metres back. However, as the session progresses so does the distance, reaching up to 30 metres. We have plenty of options for different games to play. Alternatively, you can just focus on the Gold in preparation for the competition at the end of the session. We have standard re-curve bows for the adults and for kids smaller traditional bows. You get to shoot as many arrows as you can in the allotted time. With a large selection of bows, your group can all shoot at the same time.

Urban Archery! Whether it's your first time ever, first time in a long time, or your first time this week this is the perfect place to have a couple of drinks, share some laughs, and have a friendly competition with friends and family. Our instructors provide a quick tutorial and tips on effective shooting. 2D and 3D targets will be available. Starting 2024 check out our simulation archery – real bows and arrows with VR-style archery games and accuracy. Small groups may be combined with other archers for added competition and fun!

Archery takes a great deal of practice and determination. When you finally make the bull’s eye or improve your accuracy, it’s a fantastic feeling. Setting goals and accomplishing them helps build your confidence. Because it isn’t necessarily an easy sport, it also improves your patience, resilience and focus, which will make your accomplishments sweeter. If you are the type of person who enjoys shooting for sport, but are not competitive that’s okay. Archery can be strictly recreational if you don’t have any desire to compete in tournaments. One of the great benefits of archery is that you can enjoy it at your own pace. Whether you enjoy competing against yourself by improving your accuracy.

Our indoor center in West Chester is one of the only places in the country to offers the sport of Archery Dodgeball. Sign up as an individual or a group and battle it out with bows and foam-tipped arrows. Each session is 60 minutes. Each session starts with an introduction where we'll teach everyone how to shoot. We have a range of bows suitable for both kids ages 7+ and adults. Our host will guide everyone through a series of mini games. Each game last about 5 minutes. You'll have 60 minutes in the arena, which is usually enough time for about 8 games and a short water break in the middle. All equipment and training is provided.

This 6 hours walking tour includes 60 min Japanese Archery experience at Enzan Archery Dojo. Before your Japanese Archery experience, you will go on a walking tour with our licensed guide! Your guide will drop you off at Enzan Archery Dojo after a 5 hour walking tour. Start time: Your start time for the experience may vary.
