Andean Sanctuaries

We are an institution dedicated to rescue animals that have suffered the mistreatment of man, or those from illicit trafficking in wildlife. We are also currently engaged in the investigation of the reproduction of the Andean Condor as it is listed as a critically endangered species of extinction, for the subsequent release of the offspring to the environment.

Follow up Humboldt's footsteps. Drive by the old house area where the German naturalist Alexander von Humboldt stayed in 1802. After Humboldt, other famous explorers arrived such as James Orton, Theodore Wolf and Edward Whimper. Also, it is possible to spot Andean Duck, Yellow-billed Pintail, Silvery Grebe, Andean Coot. Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel to go to the north of the city, after a short trip we will enter the most important and best preserved archaeological complex in Ecuador. Our guide will report on the main aspects of the history of these ruins that are comparable (in shape and style of construction but not in size) with those found in Cusco.
