The Harbor Haus at Thomas Basin will be your destination to experience the most pristine Dungeness Crab feast. And on one of our destinations you will fish across from the Knik Glacier.When we take you out it is more of a family friendly experience. We travel in a 4×4 Mercedes sprinter van and there will be a bbq on board for fresh grilled salmon. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks but we always carry water on board.

It’s a train like no other. Departing from Talkeetna, the Hurricane Turn Train leaves civilization behind and makes a round-trip journey through the wilds of the Indian River Valley. Along the way, passengers may take advantage of the Hurricane’s unique flagstop service to get on or off the train anywhere along this backcountry route (due to the nature of this service, scheduled stop times may vary). Locals have long loved the Hurricane for access to remote cabins, hunting and fishing, while visitors consider this train the Alaska Railroad’s best-kept secret for a truly authentic Alaskan experience – not to mention the panoramic views at the train’s turnaround point, Hurricane Gulch. All you'll need is clothing appropriate to spend the day in the Alaska wilderness. Relax and enjoy the fishing, we'll take care of all the messy work and heavy lifting – except perhaps lifting the heaviest fish of the day from the water!

This trip puts a rod in every guest’s hand and gives you a crack at whatever species catch the scent trail your guide sets up on the bottom. This is an intimate fishing experience with 5 or 6 guests and a guide tucked into a hardtop aluminum cabin cruiser out on the halibut flats. Weather can be unpredictable, but a major advantage of fishing the Inside Passage is that there’s almost always a place we can hide behind an island, sheltering us from weather blowing in from the open sea. At our company, we don’t worry about fuel burn. We want our guides to go where guests have the best chance at the most active fishing. Compared to most half-day charters in Alaska, these trips will carry guests farther into more distant and productive waters.
