The first place to visit in the Bacalar Lagoon is “Cenote Esmeralda”, where you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why the Bacalar Lagoon is frequently referred as the 7 colors lagoon. Our next stop is “Cenote Cocalitos”, home of stromatolites, that are known as living stones and are considered the oldest form of life in the planet. After boarding the transport unit we will have the opportunity to discover the local culture and economy of the town Pedro Antonio De los Santos that is on the road passing to our magical destination (BACALAR). In Bacalar you will visit Fort San Felipe, built between 1725 and 1733 to protect against attacks by pirates who sought raw materials such as wood and natural dyes to dye textiles.
