Lope National Park is undoubtedly a place of rare beauty. Situated in the middle of the vast forest massif, under the equator, is a witness to what part of Central Africa was 18,000 years ago.The park is home to a very high density of mammals as well as 412 species of birds, including the picatharte, the hornbill, and archaeological treasures dating back at least 400,000 years.
